ICTnews – June 24, Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung has approved the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group’s structure (VNPT) to State owned one-member limited liability company.
After changing, VNPT inherits the rights,responsibilities and interest as well as the remaining problems, which arose before the changing time. The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC)takes responsibility in instruction, checking and supervising the implementation of this Decision and report to the Prime Minister the arising obstacles beyond the responsibilities and submit for member of Supervisory Board appointment.
The Government also allowed the MIC to change the Vietnam Post Corporation (VNPost) to one-member limited liability company owned by the State and appoint member of Supervisory Board. Deputy Prime Minister requests VNPT to report Government Prime Minister on chartered capital handover to VNPost basing on the Decision No. 674/QD-TTg dated 1 June2007.
At the same time, Vietnam Mobile Services Company (VMS) has also been changed to one-member limited liability company owned by the State with the organization structure including Chairman,President, Board of Supervisory. VNPT’s President will be the Chairman of VMS in the duration of less than 1 year since the day of changing.
